Publication Fee
IJESS operates as a self-supporting organization and does not receive funding from any institution or government. Consequently, the journal’s operations are entirely financed through processing fees collected from authors. These fees are necessary to cover operational expenses, including employee salaries, internet services, electricity, and other associated costs. As an Open Access Journal, IJESS does not generate revenue from subscriptions, as all content is freely accessible online. Producing a peer-reviewed, edited, and formatted article ready for online publication and maintaining a server that ensures 24/7 access incurs significant costs. Therefore, IJESS charges a modest Article Processing Charge (APC) of USD $50 after an article is accepted for publication.
Authors can pay the processing charge via our online payment portal using a credit card or by transferring the APC to the publisher’s account, as detailed in the invoice. Payment confirmation will be sent once the transaction is completed. The APCs are typically covered by the authors, their research institutes, or funding agencies on their behalf.
Upon the acceptance of a manuscript, the submitting author is responsible for the payment of the APC, and IJESS does not offer refunds under any circumstances. If an author wishes to retract their paper after it has undergone rigorous review and revisions, a processing fee equivalent to 30% of the article’s total cost will be charged.
